Wild Rose Water Bus

If you fancy a leisurely cruise, visit a castle, a few pints and some witty and lively commentary, you can get it all by taking a trip on The Wild Rose Water Bus

The Wild Rose Water Bus leaves the specially built jetty at Doorly Park, very close to The Blue Lagoon, and takes a leisurely cruise up the Garavogue River, passing Hazelwood and across almost the full length of Lough Gill to the 17th century Parkes Castle, where you can get off the boat and go on a guided tour.

While relaxing on board with refreshments, you can listen to recitations of poetry by William Butler Yeats, celebrating the lake and the Isle of Innisfree.

Enjoy the spectacular scenery from this wonderful vantage point and on your return journey, along the northern side of Lough Gill, you will pass by historic Church Island.

A cruise on the Wild Rose Water Bus will be one of the most memorable cruises imaginable!
